Iran-Minab school attack - Sky News investigation

Sky News investigation into Minab school attack finds all evidence points to US being responsible

In a powerful new documentary, Wes J. Bryant speaks to the truth behind the Minab school bombing.

He assisted Sky News in their months long on-the-ground investigation into the U.S. bombing of a primary school on the first day of the Iran War — in which 156 people were killed, including 120 children and 26 of their teachers.

With the first journalist from a major western news organization on the ground in Minab, the Sky News team speaks to survivors, bereaved parents, and emergency workers while painstakingly reconstructing the attack and interviewing US military whistleblowers who make startling claims about what was behind the tragedy.

On the first day of the war in Iran, a primary school in the remote town of Minab was bombed. 156 people died, including 120 pupils and 26 of their teachers.

Ever since people have demanded answers. Who was behind it? Was it a terrible mistake? If so, how could such a horrific accident have been allowed to happen?

Many have pointed the finger at the United States. But in June President Trump told Sky News “I don’t think it was us”.

Sky News has spent the four and a half months since the attack investigating what happened, how it happened and who might be responsible.

Sky’s Dominic Waghorn reports from the town – the first journalist from a major western news organisation to go there – where he speaks to survivors, bereaved parents and emergency workers.

We painstakingly reconstruct the site of the attack to work out precisely what happened.

And we hear from whistleblowers in the US military who make startling claims about what could have been behind the tragedy.
