I strongly condemn the escalation of violence in the coastal areas of Syria, which have seen widespread summary killings, including of entire families.

The bloodshed must stop immediately.

Civilians must be protected.

Perpetrators of violations must be held to account.

The concerns of Syria’s communities must be addressed in a meaningful manner.
